Meet our Operations Manager

Jorge Luis Rodríguez Arroyo is a Costa Rican professional with more than 25 years of solid experience in the tourism industry, particularly in hotel management, operational management, commercial administration, sustainability, and service quality.

 

He holds a university degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Tourism Management, and has built a strong career in the operation of prestigious hotels and resorts in Costa Rica.

 

He has held positions such as General Manager, Resident Manager, and Commercial Director in well-known hotels and tourism chains, including:

 

Parador Resort & Spa (10 years) – Resident Manager and Commercial Director, leading operations, customer service, human resources, sustainability, and commercial strategy.

 

The Sanctuary Resort & Spa – General Manager, responsible for comprehensive administration, brand positioning, and the operational direction of the resort.

 

Hotel & Villas Cala Luna – Resident & General Manager, developing service standards, quality control, and administrative processes.

 

Marenco Biological Station – Administrative-Financial Manager, focused on ecotourism, logistics, and operations in remote areas.

 

His experience combines operational leadership, financial management, high-performance team development, and strategic commercial direction, with a strong emphasis on service excellence, quality, hospitality, and guest experience.

 

Jorge also has complementary training in:

 

  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA 18001 standards as an internal auditor.

  • Sustainability management, CST certification, Blue Flag programs, and environmental action.

  • Service quality, leadership, empowerment, and organizational culture, with extensive training from The Real Service and the Service Quality Institute.

  • Risk management, emergency protocols, care for people with special needs, and first aid.

 

 

Additionally, he has participated in conferences, workshops, and training programs from ICT, CANATUR, ACOPROT, and other organizations related to sustainable tourism, social responsibility, and the development of the national tourism industry.

 

His career stands out for his ability to lead complex operations, improve service standards, implement quality systems, lead sustainability processes, and strengthen the competitive position of hotels and tourism companies.
