Begin your adventure with a comfortable hotel pick-up and a scenic 90-minute drive to the breathtaking Carara National Park — one of Costa Rica’s top wildlife sanctuaries and home to nearly 48% of all bird species in the country. This makes it a must-visit destination for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts.

Once inside the park, you’ll explore one of two beautiful trails, each approximately 2 miles long. As you walk through the lush forest, your naturalist guide will point out birds, wildlife, and unique ecological features, giving you plenty of time to observe and learn. Midway through the hike, you’ll take a 20-minute break to rest and soak in the forest scenery.

A highlight of this tour is the unforgettable sight of Scarlet Macaws soaring overhead—one of Costa Rica’s most iconic wildlife moments. After exploring the park, you’ll visit the famous Tarcoles River bridge, home to the largest crocodile population in Costa Rica, offering the perfect chance for amazing photos and unforgettable stories.

Once your wildlife adventure is complete, you’ll head back to base camp to enjoy a delicious homestyle lunch. Afterward, your transportation will take you comfortably back to your hotel.
